It all begins with two glamorous best friends from Los Angeles who grew up together since age five. We spent afternoons as girls playing with dolls and sewing clothes for them from old fabrics. We designed outfits for each other for parties and even helped out other friends when they couldn’t find the perfect dress. It was always a dream of ours to start a clothing company and work together. Our vision since we were little girls has materialized and we cannot be prouder to be able to provide dresses that are playful and whimsical, yet chic and modern. We remember those days when we just wanted to feel like princesses and wear the bouncy, poufy dress. We are still those little girls at heart, we still love experimenting with fabrics, and we still love making girls feel magical.

Kaya dresses are made of the most exquisite silks and trims from around the world and are entirely handmade in the United States. Each style pictured is available in an endless array of sumptuous colors. We use luxurious silks chosen specifically for their beautiful drape and resistance to wrinkles. Many of our dresses are made of silk dupioni with silk organza overlays on the skirts. Silk dupioni is a hand-woven fabric known for it's 'slubby' textural qualities. It is sometimes referred to as 'raw' silk. Silk organza is a sheer smooth fabric that lends an airy, angelic quality to the designs.

Your little girl will love dressing up in these elegant yet fun dresses. Our happy clients are sophisticated princesses who demand comfort for a long day of celebrating; and quality for the durability of a little girl's energetic play. We are always happy to custom match your bridesmaids' colors or even use your chosen fabric for a sash.
